Sense will automatically unlock Lockitron as you approach the door without needing to take the iPhone out of your pocket. Sense uses Bluetooth 4 and works even if your Internet connection is disabled. Sense can be customized in the app settings.

Using an accelerometer, Lockitron will send a notification to your iPhone when someone knocks on your door.

Lockitron uses four AA batteries that last up to one year and will send you a notification when they need to be replaced. Of course, you can always use your physical key for backup if the batteries run out before you replace them.

Lockitron is housed in a glossy polycarbonate shell and measures 6.5 x 4 x 1.66 inches. It mounts over most dead bolts and requires 2 inches of clearance between the deadbolt and knob.
